I have really enjoyed life in York especially having the campus so close to the City. The university has a lovely campus and a friendly, family feel to it not being as large as other universities. There is always lots of different events going on across campus with some great societies to join. I personally feel there is a lack in some support for some student as well as particular courses having more access to field trips then others.

I was disappointed with the length of time we used online teaching during my first year at uni. However now I'm enjoying it more being in person, and having more time with other class mates. I do feel the support from some lectures is limited however overall they are pretty helpful.

The quality of the halls was excellence with great facilities and safety. However the allocation of the flat and room was extremely poor with only 2 of us in one flat limiting meeting people. Furthermore the inability to keep students safe and support with difficulties of moving away from home is limited.

Great University in a great location, lots of different study areas and the food is good. Lecturers and Seminar Leader are friendly, approachable and helpful. The only downside is that there doesn’t seem to be much communication from academic tutors and the university events are often sold out before people know about them and others are not put on again.

the course is great and engaging and you learn things you never would have thought of. The only issue is that there is not a lot of guidance for assessments and it can feel like you are being thrown in the deep end. For example one assignment, all the previous examples were not representative of how we were meant to do it and were therefore useless.

Brilliant location and feels very safe and have many shops near by. The only issue is that emails with issues get ignored, i have sent 4 emails regarding things in the flat that need fixing and have had no response.
