The campus at Sussex is such a great place to live and study, being able to go on walks after lectures and on weekends is really wonderful. There are also so many things to do on campus rather than having to go very far, lots of places to eat and meet up with people. The library is a really enjoyable place to sit in. Everyone has also been really helpful so far with questions and struggles.

The lecturers do a very good job of making sure everything is clear with assignments and content, and the actual lectures are very interesting and enjoyable. The lecture rooms are also really good spaces to learn in and engage rather than just aimlessly sit there. The amount of hours in a week has also been very manageable so far and not overly stressful.

My accommodation is really nice to live in, it feels like an actual home rather than just a place to stay. It’s in a really good place on campus close enough to all the facilities but also far enough to get some quiet. Value for money is really excellent, the rooms are bigger than expected and really comfortable to live in. The bathroom facilities have been very good so far, no issues with showers or sinks or anything. The kitchen space is really working well, very manageable for 6 people and a lot of storage.

I love the diversity and the accessibility on all fronts; it makes it feel like a truly inclusive and friendly place from the moment you arrive. I also adore how friendly and approachable each and every person is, from the students to the staff members. As a postgrad student, I would have found it helpful if there had been more freshers week events specifically for us to enable us to embrace and appreciate student life more.

The lecturers are truly the friendliest and most approachable people I’ve ever come across in a educational setting. They treat us like old friends from the very first induction session! Their approachability also means tougher aspects of the course are incredibly easy to query and find out more about when you’re having doubts or struggling.
