The accessibility is not the best, its not the most physical disability friendly place and the university does not feel like it does much to help. It would be beneficial if there was funding put in place to help those with such disabilities to get around the whole area not just too and from classes. Shuttles etc that run to upper and lower bangor for students with disabilities would be nice. Also studying can feel overwhelming, specially if you do not know anyone else on that course. Having meet ups to meet those on your course too study would be helpful especially when doing group projects. Many of the professors i have had have been good though, they are friendly and helpful with work from my personal experience and when you require extra help there are lots of university resources there too help.

Many of my classes are in person, and are recorded to rewatch at any time. Classes vary from 1 to 2 hours and an hour of seminars. I would like to have more class time so that there is more information taught too us in a structured way. Most of the time we are given suggested reading but it is difficult to read multiple articles and books etc as well as finding information for assignments and study for exams. But without the reading some of the classes only teach you a very basic amount of information such as my criminology class which is only 1 hour a week… but with the 10 minutes past/ too the hour we only get 40 minutes of teaching not including time which students take asking questions about up coming assignments. Making the actual learning rather rushed. The professors though are thorough when answering questions and will make time to listen to you and answer each one on a personal level should you need a 1 on 1 meeting.

The carpets are old and dirty, and the mattresses are not comfortable. In my flat we have constant flied coming inside and nothing has been done about them. However we could choose the rooms we live in allowing me to live with friends should you choose too. The halls have mentors who check in on wellbeing and cleanliness of the kitchen. Also they are there to mediate conflicts within the flats which can be helpful if it is a serious one. Security as well are helpful when you need them, if there's a serious injury they are there too help or even if someone if drunk and need to be helped walked back too their flat they are there to lend a hand to ensure everyone's safety. Although expensive in this economy i do enjoy halls as it is in a good location too shops and too the campus but not right beside clubs so you can get good sleep on party nights.
