Despite the negative impacts of the pandemic and having to adapt to online learning, in my opinion, my university has done its best to conform and support its students the best it can whilst also having to adapt to the current circumstances. I find that I am able to manage my studies okay, and find comfort that there will be academic support available if needed.

In my opinion, the services and facilities are definitely up to standard. All shared spaces are cleaned regularly, equipment hire services are orderly, provide modern equipment and is easily available if needed.

The university makes personal and support services available to all students. This includes disability support, support from the counseling team, and even faith and spiritual well-being based support.

Teaching has been adapted to the circumstances of the pandemic, and the uni, as well as my teachers have done their best to offer and give support as it relates to uni work. Although lectures are online, the teaching quality has not been reduced, and teachers are constantly checking to make sure we understand the content, or need clarity on assignments etc.

BCU provides career support in which students can make appointments with a career advisor or consultant to aid in the process of finding employment and explore career options. Students can also can support in developing CVs and preparing for interviews etc.
