The university is very helpful and the contact with each department is easy and straightforward. The support at the library and IT department is very good. I think if there is going to be a break in connection with the university a warning can be given to reduce the concern of thinking something is wrong with own computer at home. Otherwise all is going well and the study material is varied and informative.

My course is online and the material is varied and up to date. The hours are flexible for me and I manage to complete the weekly tasks in time. Some books are not available on line but there are alternatives apart from the recommended reading lists. Contact with lecturers are via email and at the moment the feedback from the forum contribution has been gratifying.

The lecturers and all other staff members are welcoming and helpful with anything you need help with. From my previous experience in University there wasn’t a lot of help options available whereas, at Wrexham University they have help for anything right on your doorstep and it’s easy to access this help! A room for improvement would be more outdoor spaces to study on University grounds that have better heating and a more comfortable setting.

The best aspects are that you have a 1-1 tutor and you can see your tutor as and when you need by simply booking an appointment with them, the amount of group work/whole class interaction activities are fun and helps everyone get to know each other better. A bad aspect I would say is that, we don’t get many opportunities in 1st year to have the experience to go into prisons and see how they work and do things alongside the police (for example, field work for a day) which would be amazing to have. Especially if it’ll look great on your CV too.

Some of the things I mostly like about the halls is that, it’s right on university campus, close to all shops, amazing friendships being built with flatmates and other buildings. A few least things I don’t like about halls is that when something maintance wise has been reported it’s not picked up straight away and your waiting months on end for it to be sorted.
