I enjoy that there are meals available for around £3 to buy in the canteen and that the library offers a kitchenette for me to eat there. The water fountains around campus are greatly appreciated. The SU has affordable drinks. I am really enjoying my course and the amount of freedom and support I have with my assignments. I'm not disabled but I saw some buildings don't have disabled access such as the art/design building. It's inconvenient to find affordable housing near the uni.

I really like creative writing and the countless opportunities to write creatively are great. However I do not like the compulsory lit modules in the first year which I have found boring and un-interesting .

They're cheap but prone to issues - I've had problems with heating and bathroom before. Also very ugly. Roughly 20-30 minutes away from uni and close to a corner shop and asda. Very small clothes washing area for several buildings.

The best about YSJ is probably its facilities on campus and staff. The place is absolutely stunning, most buildings are new and they take grat care into the gardening, which I appreciate. There’s many corners to sit alone to study, and the student lounge with Starbucks coffee is everything I could wish for. The worst thing might be the accomodations—general problems with clogged pipes, fire alarms going off at midnight, dropped and stepped-on chips in the hallways, noisy and full of people who don’t know how to properly use a washing machine. But this is nothing unexpected, since it is, for a fact, a university dorm.

Tutors are great, there is plenty of opportunities to get help and book meetings with them if you need. Some lecture halls and rooms suffer from bad airconditioning, but other than that everything is rather great regarding the course.

Really common problem with mold, which is partly an effect of bad interior design in the architecture. The shower pipe is naturally clogged with hair for there is no hair stopper built in, and this cause the water to overflow in the shower cabin very frequently—which itself cause water to creep under the floor and grow mold. That would not have happened if walls and floor were sealed completely shut in water proof material, instead of having a plastic floor mat glued to the edges with glue that cracks. Not too happy about that, but except for that (and certain moldy washing mashines), the house is generally quite clean.
