Amazing location a stone throw from the historic city of York! York itself if beautiful. Uni campus i easy to find your way about a mix of old and new, fantastic building. Student life in york and at the student union is brilliant, always something to do. Lots of different societies to join, and if there isn’t one that suits the student union will support you in creating a new one. Overall a really friendly positive atmosphere !!

Placements you have to find for yourself. Don’t expect to be given them. Plenty of hours a week with tutors, they also have an open door policy so don’t hesitate to go to them. Currently undergoing a change in facilities so has been chaotic but that’s understandable. Make sure you know what you are going to get out of this course - will you need to do a postgrad? Extra training? Only issue with this course is that it isn’t BACP accredited but again that is understandable. So be aware that further training is required.

5 min walk to city centre, and 5 min walk the opposite direction to Morrisons. Excellent location. We had an issue with some drunk lads getting in to the building who weren’t from the uni causing havoc but security swiftly sorted this. Room allocation I asked for mixed sex but got all girls which for me was my worst nightmare. But it is what it is I guess. No problem with WiFi personally some of my flat mate thought it was slow but I didn’t have any problems with it.
