Love this university and the support it gives. I just wish the canteen was open for longer for people that study early evening.

I love YSJ because the staff are really welcoming, i like the food in the canteen and the feel of the uni. It could be improved by having more social events throughout the year instead of just freshers.

I like how whenever we have lectures they’re always in person as that’s when i learn best! i do find it odd that i’m only in 3 times a week when friends at other unis are in 9-5 everyday. Also one of my lecturers in particular sometimes sprinkles her own opinion of politics into lectures which makes me and a few of my friends uncomfortable because whether we agree or not it kind of creates a space where if we don’t agree, we will be judged.

it is very very expensive but you do get what you pay for, the rooms are a decent size and the bathroom is nice. i love that we have a games room but it’s very inactive apart from a certain group of students which take it over making other students feel unwelcome in there. i think they could do some more socials but other then that’s its perfect
