It is a great place to study because the facilities are very easy to use and usually well maintained, the faculty and staff are extremely supportive and encouraging towards their students and the campus looks great and well organised. The only improvements that can be made that come to mind are some of the facilities being maintained or kept up to date a little bit better (I.E. Keycard access to certain rooms).

Facilities are kept up to date, extremely diverse in what we can use them for during respective modules and usually easy to use. Lecturers are incredibly supportive, experienced, knowledgeable and sympathetic. The course is taught usually with one in-class lecture (usually from 10AM to 4PM) and one ten-minute long online tutorial each week, some modules have more than one in-class session/lecture but this is very uncommon, personally I believe this is due to how busy my lecturers are and also to help increase student's independence and home learning during modules. I would personally prefer if there were more in-class workshops/lectures happening over the week (ideally over two days instead of just one) since my home situation currently isn't much of a constructive environment and commuting into Birmingham is too much of a hassle just to use some of the other uni facilities like the library.

I have stayed in the university locks for a total of six days over the past two years, both of which were for the disability support Life Skills Summer School 2023 and 2024 (three days each in August-September time 2023 and 2024). Because of my limited time staying in this accommodation (and also it possibly being prepaid by the Disability support team, the event organisers) I don't know much about the accommodation's value for money or property management. The room allocation is good, I remember in summer school 24 I got put in the same block as my fellow team leader. The building feels very safe, security is usually stationed at the front desk and does a routine sweep of the building around every half an hour. The internet and wifi works almost flawlessly, I don't remember there being any outages during my time staying there. The only complaints about the locks that I have is that during my stay in August-September 2023 there was a small silverfish infestation in my room (which I believe has since been resolved) and during my stay in August 2024 the shower in my room wasn't working (luckily my fellow team leader's shower was working and they let me use theirs, the next day I phoned maintenance to notify them of the broken shower in my room so hopefully this issue has since been fixed).
