As a computing student, the new facilities for my course and the new building are all great, the only problem is, not all the computers work which can be a little frustrating, however there is always one available if needed. The library is great, super useful and (once you get to grips) is easy to use and get around to borrow books and work alone or in groups. The lecturers are always willing to support you and the student mental well-being is good and fairly easy to contact if you need some support. There are so many societies that you can choose and I have definitely found that it is the best way to connect with so many different people and try something new that you maybe haven’t done before. Living off campus I thought I would feel like I was missing out on a lot but it really hasn’t felt like this as there is so much going on, all on different days and times so I have been able to do lots of new stuff. Being in the city is great and Canterbury has such a nice vibe. Everyone I have met have been so lovely and I am just really glad I chose to come here for my degree. :))

As someone who loves off campus, the blend of online and in person is great for me. There are days where I don’t have to get up so early and can save money on fuel and food, however if there are any questions I have over the course of the online learning I am able to either email my lecturers (who always respond promptly) or ask them in person when we are face to face. The recording of the lectures is amazing as it allows me to go back and follow them along for my own notes and revision time. The modules are challenging but rewarding and all the lecturers are kind and willing to help when needed. The only reason I rated internships 3 stars is because I am only in my first year and there has not been a huge focus on this yet, however we have touched on it and what was said was useful. :))

Canterbury is such a pretty place with lots of history and plenty of shopping opportunities!
