The Students Union is honestly the best part of the University of Sheffield. With over 300 societies, you're sure to find something to your liking. Apart from that, the university has great facilities and the Diamond (engineering building) has anything you could ever need. 10/10 uni.

Some lecturers aren't the best in terms of quality, but you send them an email and they'll reply back within a day. Tutors are all very approachable and they do a good job of helping everyone regardless of their skill level in the subject.

In terms of value for money, there are other student accomodations that provide insane value, however for first year students Allen Court is probably the best place you could find. There's weekly activities in the common room and multiple activites a week through all the university accomodations, and any problem you may have is fixed in a timely manner.
