I like being at the University of Manchester. There are a few hours of lectures a week and about the same in labs, so balanced. Campus is nice in the city with everything nearby. Student union is decent with some good societies. They check your housing contracts which is helpful. The uni makes sure you’re aware of the support available.

I enjoy most of the course content and I think it will be useful in the future. The programming modules are interesting and useful. Some lectures can be really good, but some can be boring. We have a tutor session every week, which is useful to help everyone understand they know what they’re doing. facilities are pretty good with no problems with computers. Lots of space in the building to do work and is comfortable. Some places provide beanbags and table tennis tables. The university tries to help you keep your career prospects in mind.

I didn’t get any of my choices of halls and ended up in a very old hall in need of refurbishment. Apparently, this will happen next year. The front door didn’t even shut properly for months and was only fixed properly after Christmas, but otherwise it feels safe. Room is a bit small. Internet is really fast but the ethernet is unreliable and sometimes seem to stop. Hardly any soundproofing in the halls, so it’s very loud and noisy. The hall I was in was the cheapest one which is about £112/wk. Kitchen was nice and spacious. When the fridge had a problem it was fixed and they provided a new one, so now we have three.
