It's a great place to study because the learning facilities are top notch and the tutors are always ready to help out incase of any misunderstanding

The best aspect of my course is it's interactivity and applications which we're learning gradually.

Best aspects: - Clean and well-maintained campus. It has a pleasing modern design that makes it seem larger than it is. - The inner lincoln area that surrounds the campus keeps improving. Everything you need is at a close distance, including well-established nightlife and entertainment. - The university facilities are well-signposted and frequently shown. It's hard to get lost if you know your destination. Toilets and available meeting rooms absolutely everywhere. - The student union supports the students effectively and encourages meeting up regularly to keep on the same page. They also do a good job of creating entertainment and opportunities for the students. - The university has thriving careers help service that makes working on campus available and goes to great lengths to prepare as many students as possible for professional careers. - If you put the time into university life (i.e. reading student news, reading emails...), you will find a lot to get involved in. I like often having opportunities to get involved, even if it is just to pass the time. Worst aspects: - The student union pretty much spams your university inbox with advertisements. It is difficult to sign off on them. Every other day I am reminded of dominos deals. These company partnerships are great for making freshers interesting, though. - The sports centre is very interesting, but I have barely seen any advertisements or incentives to check it out. It might just be something you need involvement in to understand. As a computer science student, I have never had a reason.

Best aspects: - Course content challenges you but is accessible enough not to pose critical concerns. It isn't amazing, and certain parts would bug any cs enthusiast. But it is well-rounded enough to feel worth the cost. - The school of computer science is amazing at encouraging, supporting and advertising work placements and internships. Just by talking to the lecturers, you learn a lot more and can reach out to many more opportunities. - I thoroughly believe my time on this course will have prepared me for a professional career. There are some good prospects around lincoln, but most of them will be through work placement and internship opportunities. - - As someone with Aspergers Syndrome, which has led to some social reclusion, there are lecturers here that I feel really do understand my way of interacting and learning. Not all lecturers, but the ones I have become comfortable with have been some of my best teachers. Worst aspects: - The personal tutor system might work elsewhere, but in the school of computer science, it's barely useful. I have heard from mine once this year; it has already been half of the academic year. The "meeting" wasn't a decent experience either. Communication was barely encouraged. Thankfully, I am quite self-sufficient. - Marking is often late. I think it's because the university's system is catching up to the rapid increase of students per year. Most of the time, feedback doesn't get uploaded alongside our grades. It's pretty clear to anyone on my course that there have been some poor choices for service providers (blackboard) or the lecturers need more time to become competent in marking these new systems. - You need to carefully check your received marks. There have been a few times I have had to refute points in their marking to be given the correct marks. Never be afraid to ask questions.

Best aspects: - As a new build, it gave me confidence and good value. Discounts for consecutive years only sweetened the deal. - Right next to campus and comfortably nestled in an open area. Shopping and commuting have never been a problem for me in lincoln, though. - Each room has an ethernet slot. Major plus. Wifi is very good too. Never an outage or problem. - Was allowed to re-occupy my 1st-year room. This was a lot more comfortable for me and was accommodated well. - Security is incredibly helpful and 24/7. Everyone gets locked out at one point or another. Within 20 minutes max, someone is there. - Some of the best accommodation staff. Helpful and lovely to work for. I would know as I was part of the team in the first year. Intuitive mail system and a ton of cool freebies. Worst aspects: - Quite a few times has there been a breach of security. Someone slipping in to hand out flyers. At one point, the equivalent of a uni Jehovah's witness buzzed on our apartment door. I was asked if I was close to god and handed a flyer. Amusing but definitely unacceptable in my eyes. Another time, young teens were able to gang up into a block and pull the fire alarm. Be wary that shenanigans like this can happen anywhere, just worth noting.
