I've had a good experience at this uni. I have made lots of friends and learnt a lot of things. unfortunately,I am only here for a year which I think is too short for me. In this uni there is lots of time to do what you want to do. I can choose modules that that interest me. Lecturers give you feedback which helps you to improve your assignments. Professors give us opportunities, but class time is too short- some times there's isn't enough time to understand the topic. The library is very convenient. The uni gives you lots of information on jobs and intern-ships.

It's easy to get to places from campus, and it's easy to get to campus with services as the free University shuttle bus or simply by walking. (It would be nice to get some sort of free bus pass throughout the city though, as public transportation can be quite pricey, and I haven't really explored Leicester outside of the city centre.) Everyone is quite welcoming, my lecturers in my modules have all been great, with lectures and seminars being quite interactive and has not failed to capture my interests and with a wide range of societies I easily feel part of the Uni. However, there could be a wider range of facilities, as I live in the village accommodation and the gym there compared to the one on campus is somewhat limited. Additionally, the I feel like the campus could be more modernised, as half the buildings are quite old.

I like that I'm able to participate in workshops, such as digital storytelling, one of my current modules in which I get to work in a high tech computer lab with various filming equipment. I think my course offers me quite wide flexibility, with availability for independent study in the mornings or afternoons, depending on the day. It has been easy to communicate with my tutor/lecturers when I've had any problems with a relatively prompt response rate. Again, course content has delved deep into my passions, and I've learnt so much more about filmmaking, such as the legalities behind the art, working in a team to produce a digital artefact and so much more.

I've never once felt in danger living outside of the city centre. Location wise though, you can't rely on public transport as it never arrives on the time it states on the centrebus app. When you've gone for a night out you need to get an uber back, as all transport doesn't operate late, which can get very pricey as a student. The wifi is super fast, I can easily say it's the best wifi I've had all my life. However I was located in the worst room in my house, as it is extremely small. Luckily enough I am a small person and do not take up too much space. We've had a lot of problems with the drainage systems in the house, the showers easily clog and the toilet has leaked since I first moved in. I've seen the showers upstairs, and they are so much nicer. Do not clog, doesn't take 15 minutes to heat up, and the shower head is adjustable. Maintenance takes forever to respond as well.
