If you love the beach and outdoor activities Swansea uni definitely has a lot offer. Both Bay campus and Singleton campus are next to the beach which is fab for bonfires etc. Teaching is also decent but depends on your subject and lecturer, Furthermore, the employability team and the faculty for humanities and social sciences are very welcoming if you need help. They offer regular sessions to help you write essays, cite/reference, and improve your English if you're not a native speaker. The student union is also setting up free breakfasts atm (10/11/2022) to help students with the cost of living crisis.

All my lecturers are very approachable and regularly encourage students to visit them during their office hours. For media students, there is a building called the Digital Technium which offers a quiet place to study as well as a PC lab for students to VR headsets. Finally, the course is very diverse and you can tailor it however you want i.e. there is only two compulsory modules for 2nd year (if you are not doing a year in industry). You could go into film/media production, public relations, journalism with this degree and your academic tutor will give you advice along the way if you need it.

Swansea is more of a small/medium town than a city. so there is a limited amount of things to see/do in the city centre. However, if you can drive then everywhere is within close range and quite convenient (e.g. shops, the mountain pen y fan, mumbles, the gower). Otherwise, buses are often late or don't arrive at all. It is very affordable for living though and you could easily rent a place for yourself or with friends unlike in other cities within the UK.

Stayed on Bay campus halls for my first year - overall it was alright as you get an ensuite however unless you study on Bay campus it is not worth the price. You can find cheaper accommodation that is more convenient (in terms of being near shops and singleton campus). Cleaners are decent but will refuse to clean the flat if it's very dirty. If you love the beach though, Bay is directly next to the beach and has fabs sunsets.

It is pretty darn awesome! I quite enjoy the fact that it is right next to the sea! The night life is banging as is ultimate frisbee. Being the social secretary of the club has made me a real stand up guy.
