Moving into the uni and settling was really easy with the support given, joining a course and society was easy with the opportunities present and allowed the uni experinece to begin quickly. The Uni provides places such as The Student Union, 24 hour libraries and other student facilities which are great for studying and socialising in the day but also allow you to go whenever its needed which is nice. Overall between the course studies and the social aspects Cardiff Uni has a lot to offer for a unique uni experience that allows for new opportunities, knowledge aswell as making you feel secure in a new place. It could be improved by offering more social opportunities or creating more spaces for this sort of thing.

Media is taught in the School of Journalism and Media and the building offers a good mix of social and study spaces. There is a large range of facilities that can be used to help improve learning quality but also to explore new aspects of the course also. The course itself Media and Communications offers a range of modules that so far have been interesting and infomative and the lecture and seminar schedule and form means the course can be quite interactive and not just relaying information. There could be more opportunities and career talks involved.

Accomodation is close to the city centre and so allows for plenty of opportunities. The Hall is partcatered and ensuite and so offers alot for the overall cost. Maintenance and Security are onsite and always helpful with any issues. The Hall could possibly do with an update on some facilities such as bathrooms and possibly redecoration if that is valued but other than that it is a good place to stay.

There are various libraries to choose from and study at. The campus is not too spread out, making it relatively easy to get around to all your lectures and seminars. They could improve by bringing Wednesday night Silent Disco back to the Student Union. More seriously, my university experience could have been made better with more contact time promoted throughout the university. I don't feel my tutors reached out enough.

There has been practically no effort from my tutors throughout the course of my degree. I think the course hours are not nearly enough for industries that are increasingly hard to get into.

There was lots of space, and easy to connect to your neighbours.
