it is very expensive for me as i am an international student, but i love being close to London and being in Europe to travel and see the world.

i like my course but i felt very limited in first year. however i like best that second year focuses a lot on literature.

they were not very clean, the fire alarm always went off; and my stuff was stolen often. the location was also not great to the school. however, my room itself was the and i had enough room for everything

Great location, beautiful grounds, good public transportation, near the train station (trains to London) and the high street. So many great, friendly societies to join with lots of events. Lecturers are usually enthusiastic about their subject and offering help.

Mostly in person learning now that covid has calmed down, but online is available upon request. During train strikes, lecturers tend to do both online and in-class lessons. Course content is exciting and varied, lecturers are enthusiastic about their modules. Very limited contact with personal tutors but they do help over email if asked. Library facilities are excellent and great for studying. Technology is generally good but doesn’t always work, and sometimes lecturers struggle with it. This is not a huge problem.

Runnymede is on campus and close to classes, but is also at the bottom of a steep hill. The back entrance makes it convenient to walk to the high street. You need your ID or a code to get into the building, and your ID to get into your flat and room. If you lose your card you can get a temporary one from the hub and ask for a replacement. There’s usually a few fire alarms at night (bring a dressing gown) from smokers and kitchen incidents. It doesn’t happen all the time, but you will be standing in the cold for a while. Kitchen facilities are good, an en-suite is a great thing to have. Lots of desk and storage space, and a pin board to make your own. The wardrobe is rather small. Living with other first years on campus is a good way to make friends with people outside your course, don’t be afraid to talk to your neighbours. It’s not very pretty, but it gets the job done.
