The Building/ Campus sites at Huddersfield university are modern. Student life has ups and downs. The Student Union ie., the hub is a useful source of signposting

The PhD is a similar to Independent study with guided support, personally would opt for more curricular taught educational programmes/modules etc in future academic choices.
