I have personally experienced the University's huge depth of experience in teaching, I've seen the large endowment funding for research and scholarships and the local benefits of government recognition. The University's other rich attributes are generated from centuries of refinement as the fourth oldest university in the anglosphere. I chose to study at the University of Glasgow as it has a record of producing innovative pioneers and a cultured student body with high employability, all without posturing as an elitist Victorian era institution as its identity is much older than that. Aside from the academics, the sports facilities I have used are superb and there is an excess of clubs, societies and events to join in.
