It is really vivid and it hosts a lot of opportunities both for work and experience and for social events. It has a strong identity which makes you feel that you are a part of it. The downside is some international students are coming with mutual agreements with universities rather than assesment and that drops the overall quality.

The facilities are great, area subjects are well designed, most lecturers are industry professionals and the course is a part of Screenskills and SIGN network, opening new opportunities. The DPPW module is designed badly as it makes a cinematography student busy with irrelevant audio lectures and workshops.

It is quite, comfortable and close to everywhere. There are problems with cleaning.

University of York is situated in the beautiful city of York, where students can explore the scenic beauty and ancient architecture to start with. The university unparalleled exposure to its students, both domestic and International. Film courses are taught by industry leading experts who currently work in the industry, and the quality of teaching is exceptional. The departments also has industry standard equipments that the students could use and study.

Even though there are theories and practical sessions for our course, we are assessed based on our practicals. The best aspect of the course so far is how the department and faculties push us to our creative limit and tries to bring out the best in us. One demerit however is that, sometimes the assessments come close to each other, so at times it might be hard to manage things.
