I have had the best experience at Essex university, they have been there for me when I have been struggling with personal things for example when my mother died, they signed me off to help me comes to terms with it. The worst bit of my university was the fact that my mother didn't see me graduate as she sadly passed away.

I lived here for 2 years and it was great. However the distance wasn't so great due to the fact you had to walk over the bridge.

At Essex the nature surrounding the university add to the appeal. It makes it great for getting coffee with friends and walking around the lakes. The perks of the University is the selection of different food and places to get coffee. Another is the market that comes ever Thursday bring in local goods onto campus. Essex has a good sense of community with different types of societies and student led activities. Such as performances at the Hex building. Plus the campus cat, it’s always lift students up when seeing him around campus. A room for improvement at the Essex is the night life, it has potential. The music doesn’t align with the theme of the night. Another is the nightlife is repetitive should have more of a mix in the themes or music. Overall Essex is a good university. It has a lot to offer and due to this it’s easy to find your way at university. The staff are willing to help you and provide any support they can. If it is out of there control they will try there best to find someone who can help.

Childhood studies is a great course. This course you look into the interdisciplinary that make up and create an understanding of childhood. Through this, It challenges your ideas and where all these perspectives on childhood came from. The professor present well thought out presentation and are passionate about their work. It is all in person but listen again makes it helpful if you missed any information. The lectures are all 2 hours with a break in the middle.
