great place to involve ourself to activities and entertainment, lots of great posters and billboard to inform us about what is happening at newman great food food and coffee and tea to take out to eat, lots of place to sit and relax and chat with new friends. especially having own independent study anywhere. i particularly like having small quiet activities e.g. solving puzzle, just to take a break to studying. they also had a chat and tea grieve session for vulnerable student who just need a chat. lots of different workshop from mental health, academics writing, etc.. i really like the book bonanza, it was great experience improvement : more water cooler around the building (and water boiler to make pot noodle ) and microwave, more quiet activities to relax and have little fun around the building. more cheap food (or we can make our own lunch activities)

it is very in depth teaching and lots of class discussion and activities that can help us understand individually what our learning outcome is. they also given us confidence to make discussion with each other, given us lots of academics articles and references to support our assignment. we have tutor assistant who also can help us individually. enjoyed the content course as it is more in depth about early years childhood study and given me opportunity to showcase my research and ideas i have found out. the content course i have, really help me to understand not just about teaching and children but there are research that we can implement into our practice. the tutor are respectfully understanding of how much contact time we need as some student need more and some doesn't need too much to improve would like to have more our own classroom to showcase our work onto the classroom display board and go to trips to young V&A museum or have a in practice teaching session for student who have no experience in early years can have opportunity to observe how children are taught.

I was a January starter and from my application to getting accepted then starting all the staff have been really helpful especially as I am a mature student. The welcoming and support that the university offer is something you can't describe. From the good morning as you walk through the university to the staff at Starbucks to then your tutors is just a warm feeling. Very proud to be apart of Birmingham's Newman university.

Tutors are calm collective and very friendly. They're always there if you need any help that could be face to face or just an email.
