Good facilities and staff on the course are supportive and helpful. The university year was reduced this year, resulting in many deadlines very close together (across university courses and schools), which could limit student performance due to not having as much time to focus on each deadline. Staff do not seem open or helpful when this issue has been raised. There were several issues with timetabling this year, resulting in three way clashes and some examination content not being timetabled to be taught until a week before the exam. However, on a positive, lecturers worked hard to ensure clashes were dealt with and the content could be taught earlier.

Laboratory facilities are very good and the hours spent in the laboratory are good. Most teaching staff are supportive and open to helping students Timetabled hours can be too much considering the amount of assignments and other deadlines - we are timetabled in full days almost every day which doesn’t leave much time to do the many pieces of work and revision required Quality of teaching varies between lecturers

The Preston campus sits nicely on the edge of town so plenty of shops, restaurants and parks. Close to a train and bus station so good links the other areas.

Very expensive considering the out of date decor and size of the rooms. Common room is small for the amount of rooms and tenants. Good security presence, security were kind and supportive

The location is brilliant and allows easy access to the surrounding area, the chemistry facilities that the university has are great and allow our smaller class sizes to get hands on experience.
