Academically, speaking the uni is sound, especially in physical csiences and business.However it is important how much effort you can be bothered to put in as it takes an hour to get anywhere from campus.

My best advice would be to live in halls in the first year - helps you make friends! All the staff are happy to help and very friendly. Heriot Watt has a good learning and teaching environment, I feel I am being pushed!
