Student support and engagement is over the top

In-class lectures are really engaging and encouraged

Best said using my recent LinkedIn and Facebook post... As my MBA at the University of Chester draws to a close and the dissertation deadline looms ever closer, I’ve found myself feeling a little reflective about leaving an institution that has given me so much. From friendships across the globe, to knowledge and skills spanning a wide range of disciplines, my post graduate challenge has fostered a host of special memories and a renewed love for the city of Chester. From Roman guards shepherding schoolchildren past my lunchtime walks and stewarding some fearsome battles in Grosvenor Park, to a superbly talented academic team inspiring and challenging me in equal measure, together with the incredible professional services staff, including the wonderful security guard at Churchill House who once helped me hunt down a pair of emergency reading glasses. Perhaps it’s my combined thirteen years between the National Trust and Trentham showing, but a special mention must go to the estates team, whose tireless work creates the beautiful, seasonal spaces that have fostered new ideas, friendships, quiet moments and the occasional visit from my cockerpoo, Teddy Places of education matter. They bring people together around shared curiosity, act as engines for opportunity and growth, and inspire change far beyond their campuses. They are also powerful drivers of place - attracting students, families, partners and visitors from around the world, and contributing richly to the cultural and economic life of their cities. The year has flown . The low point was transitioning my head into academic writing. As a mature student working in marketing, content and storytelling it was a tough transition, but academic skills team and course leader and academic staff have been brilliant.

Diversity of teaching styles, bright academics stimulating discussion and power of thought. Learned such an array of new knowledge and skills, and discovered a new career move.
