The University of Birmingham is a great place to study because it combines a strong academic reputation as a Russell Group university with excellent career support, a diverse student community, and a well-connected campus in a major UK city. Its research-led teaching, employability focus, and vibrant campus life create a well-rounded student experience. However, it could be improved by modernising some older facilities, streamlining administrative processes, and expanding affordable study spaces and services to ensure a more consistent experience across all programmes.

The best aspects of my MBA course are its highly interactive, in-class teaching approach and strong focus on practical, real-world learning. Sessions are built around case discussions, group work, and simulations, which makes learning engaging and directly relevant to professional practice. Course hours are intensive but well balanced, allowing enough time to prepare, reflect, and apply concepts. There is regular and approachable contact with lecturers, who combine academic expertise with industry experience and actively encourage discussion, feedback, and critical thinking. Overall, the course creates a collaborative learning environment that supports both personal development and career progression.
