So far I'm having a really good time. I've studied throughout the year and been to all my lecturers and still have enough time to do loads of fun things and have some great nights out. Glasgow uni has a great balance of fun things to do and work.

The sports facilities are really good. There's: plenty of locker space, dozens of clubs, all the gym equipment you need and a pool. The library has all the books you need. I didn't buy any books this year, just used the ones in the library when I need them. There's also plenty of computers and printers. There is wifi but it isn't great in lots of parts of the campus. The lab equipment has been great so far as well.

You have to be pretty active to get support sometimes. Everyone has advisers of stud. Some are great but I've heard stories of a few who are really unhelpful and don't know anything. Usually lecturers are really good at helping if you don't know something but if the lecturer isn't helpful it can be harder. That said if you email the head of your course or go to the student representative council you can get things sorted. The SRC and counselling are really helpful if you do have any problems.

Glasgow university is fantastic because there are four unions. The student representative council is great to get to see how the uni runs and to get more involved. The queen margaret's union is good for people interested in getting involved with charities, fundraising e.t.c. The sports association offers loads of fun clubs. I personally love the surf and muay thai clubs. Finally the glasgow university union is great if you just want to have fun. They throw loads of events and have the Hive club.

I live in Glasgow and love it. There are plenty of clubs if that's your scene and if not there are bars with live music, concerts, some great cinemas and loads of places to eat. I do parkour and there are loads of great spots and places to discover. It is often very cold and wet but if you don't mind that Glasgow is awesome to explore. Public transport is okay, buses are quite often late and the train run well 75% of the time but when they don't it can be really frustrating with last minute cancellations. However you can get out of the city really easily. A 20 min train from the centre of town will take you to Milngavie the start of the west highland way. Glasgow's a great city if you love the outdoors.

Glasgow university has over 200 clubs and societies. I'm part of the surf and muay thai clubs. They have been so much fun and a great way to make friends. Meeting new people is a little harder living at homes so joining the clubs is a good way to socialise. The surf club also gives you access to free surf boards whenever you want them.

The labs are really fun and productive. They help to put what you've learned in lectures into context and helps you remember them more. Like any university some lectures can be a slog to get through but if you find something difficult the lecturers are happy to help and the library has all the information you need.

In semester one there is a lecture dedicated to career skills and finding jobs. Throughout semesters 1 and 2 a career adviser comes to labs and does 1hr workshops getting us to think about what skills we have, how to gain more and how to network.

I think UofG is the best place to be at, personally it has made a transformative contribution to my personal and professional career path. I am more than blessed to be a part of this fun, engaging and inclusive community. Couldn’t adk for anything better in life. The number of opportunities that I have received received as a part of my degree is unreal and I will cherish them forever.

I find my course really interesting. It is the perfect balance of theory, practice and understanding. I really enjoy what we do and my degree has equipped ne with a lot of skills crucially required for the professional world in my field of interest
