There’s a lot of accommodation surrounding the university so owned by University quarter and other private landlords so regardless of whether you’re staying on or off campus you’re close by and at most a 15min walk away The university of Hull is in a quiet town not thats not as active as a bigger universities but has a great sense of community especially when it comes to international students the university is very accommodating. If you’re ever struggling or need support the lecturers are really welcoming and the student union is very helpful and will support you or give you any information you need. The only thing I would complain about is the Town of Hull - in terms of not having much to do however that’s my personal preference since I’m from Birmingham which has quite a lot going on.

The lecturers teaching Biomedical Science are very helpful in terms of material, all the content is easy to access online. Lectures are recorded and can be accessed later on, online classes are very rare that is dependent on the pandemic, there are a lot of contact hours within the week due to the amount of modules three modules in the first term three modules in the second term. Materials to prepare for lectures are provided each module leader provides a timetable with information on what each lecture is about, the date, and the location. At the end of every module review is sent out to students to fill-in feedback is then taken by leaders to improve the module. Lectures provide revision sessions and assignment prep lectures to ensure students understand what they’re doing. There is a substantial amount of preparation put into lab practicals, students are provided with significant amount of information before going into it and are continuously supported within the lab however also given space to work as individuals and independently Overall biomedical science is a heavy content course for all materials are provided timetables, reading lists, video links and any other useful material.
