Overall, the University of Greenwich offers solid teaching and strong support for job readiness. A bit more vibrancy at Medway and more cross-campus activities would make it even better.

As a science student based at the Medway campus, our course delivery blends in-class and online elements to fit different learning styles. Lecturers bring varied teaching approaches, and quick end-of-lecture quizzes help confirm understanding. It would be helpful to include more explicit training in speaking scientifically to complement writing skills, and to increase cross-campus collaboration so all students feel connected to the Greenwich community. Overall, Medway offers a positive learning experience, with room to share best practices across campuses.

From value for money to amenities, there are a few highs and lows. Merlin House is an old building, and sometimes the bathroom lights go off, which the uni should address. In terms of cost, the price doesn’t always feel worth it for the living experience: newer, more modern options like Adelaide House offer a noticeably better value for a similar price difference (around £100 more to book). The rooms can feel tight and stuffy, and the space in bathrooms and kitchens is limited. The fridge allocation is insufficient, and the space often isn’t truly comfortable. On the plus side, accommodation life isn’t all bad—flatmates are friendly, and there are campus activities to join. Overall, the newer residences are a better value, but there are still decent aspects to life on campus.
