UCL is great- the teachers are thorough and clear, the facilities are extensive and the student union organises many activities. However, since COVID the lack of face to face teaching has made the year a lot more difficult. I’ve felt isolated from peers on my course and like I’m pretty much teaching myself the degree. I only have to go to campus for lab practicals which probably works out 3 times a term.

London is one of the best cities in the world. Diverse, full of life, with everything on your doorstep. The public transport links are amazing- you can get to anywhere you like! It is, however, extortionately priced for a student and sometimes isolating. I don’t go out after dark as I think it can be quite dangerous, especially as a women.

Pros: - en-suite - kitchen has everything you need - fairly good price (£230/week) Cons: - security aren’t helpful - area feels unsafe at times - my block is the only one without a lift and I’m on the top floor - several rooms are larger but yet they pay the same price

I can not believe they closed the Starbucks here it's crazy. I have no idea what the student union do. Oh and they need better bathrooms and kept in a lot better condition.
