There is a strong sense of community, with many societies for all interests. Although limited by funding the University and Students' Union do great work to engage all students and ensure all are included and supported. As a Biomedical Science student I feel that I have great prospects upon graduating, with skills to enter many fields, not just research or medicine! There are experts in many fields working at St George's, willing to give advice on postgraduate opportunities and assistance where possible. Tooting has some leisure, food and nightlife but if these do not appeal then it is easy and quick to travel to find what you are looking for.

St George’s is a great place to study because it is specifically healthcare based, which means that everyone studying here is like-minded. The students union is great and has lots of great facilities. St George’s is based in a hospital, which is a massive benefit to clinical courses, but it does mean that there is a lack of student specific places.

Biomedical science at St George’s is great because it is so research focussed. There are so many active researchers working onsite and most are very willing to show students their projects/ host work experience.
