University life here is great for me, because Huddersfield isn't too big of a place. It is fairly easy to know my way around. The university isn't too confusing once you learn the layout either. The way the lecturers teach is in a very good way, and they make the learning experience friendly and easy to understand.

The University of Huddersfield is a great place to study because people from different backgrounds, areas & had different experiences come together to study a particular course. The investment in many facilities such as laboratories help ensure that I am able to carry out practicals outlined within modules of my course. The proximity of the university to Huddersfield Town Centre is very convenient, as I am able to purchase an item I may need that may be either not available at the university or just needed for a day in university. Although I have the privilege of living close to the university, Huddersfield Bus Station is handy for catching a bus at times when weather conditions are unfavourable. An improvement to the University of Huddersfield for me would be that they hold more frequent student fairs, to maximise opportunities for many students like me that have tight schedules to discuss opportunities in joining societies or looking at further opportunities e.g. part time jobs.

One of the best aspects of my course is that in one of my modules, where I have a two hour lecture, one hour consists of going over lecture content & the other hour consists of practicing exam style questions helping me to consolidate my knowledge of the lecture content. All the lecturers are friendly & willing to help if needed be. Many of the lecturers also go into the details of the lecture content & explain it thoroughly , helping to deepen my knowledge of the lecture. One of my lecturers also helps me by telling the class what we need to know for the exam, overcoming the hassle of knowing what to revise & note from a lecture. One aspect of my course that needs improving is that not focused on the course itself, but the timetabling needs major adjustments in my opinion. 3-hour slots for practicals are timetabled for 3 till 6 as well as lectures being slotted for 4 till 6. My suggestion would be that if practicals or lectures are to take place late, then it should be timetabled for days like Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. An alternative option would be to schedule such lectures or practicals in the morning hours if possible.
