I’m currently an undergraduate student studying Fashion Business and living on the de Havilland campus, and my experience at the University of Hertfordshire has been excellent so far. One of the best aspects of my course is the variety and structure of the modules. The Fashion Business modules are engaging, relevant to the industry, and give a strong understanding of areas such as marketing, branding, retail strategy, and the business side of fashion. The course combines theory with practical elements, which makes learning more interesting and prepares us for real-world careers. The lecturers are knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to help or provide guidance. The de Havilland campus has a calm and focused atmosphere which is perfect for studying. The facilities, especially the library and study spaces, are modern and well-equipped. Living on campus is convenient as everything is within walking distance, and it makes it easy to feel part of a friendly and inclusive student community. Overall, I would highly recommend the University of Hertfordshire to prospective students, particularly those interested in Fashion Business. The course content, supportive lecturers, and campus environment make it a great place to study.

I have had a very positive experience with my course so far and honestly haven’t come across any major ‘worst’ aspects yet. The teaching has been engaging and well organised, and my lecturers are approachable and willing to give feedback when I need support. The mix of creative and business-focused modules keeps the work interesting and relevant, and I feel I’m developing useful skills for the fashion industry. Of course there are small challenges like busy periods around deadlines, but overall these feel normal for university life rather than weaknesses of the course itself.

What I like most about the uni’s location is that everything I need as a student is close by – campus, accommodation, supermarkets and transport links are all within easy reach, which makes daily life very convenient. The area feels generally safe and there are plenty of cafés, shops and green spaces to relax or meet friends. I don’t feel I’m missing out on nightlife either, because the campus has its own student night every Wednesday, so there is always something social to do without travelling far. Overall I don’t really have any regrets about the location, as it’s a comfortable and student‑friendly place to live and study.

I am really enjoying living in my accommodation, especially having my own private room and bathroom. It gives me a lot of privacy and makes it easy to relax and focus on my studies after a long day on campus. The room itself is comfortable with good storage and reliable heating, and the Wi‑Fi has been strong enough for both coursework and streaming. I also like that I can still socialise in the shared kitchen and common areas, so it feels like the right balance between independence and community. The only downside is that en‑suite rooms are a bit more expensive, but for me the extra comfort and privacy have been worth the cost.
