Best: located in a small town that is relatively peaceful and quiet compared to large cities, easy public transport access with buses and trains, small class size, availability of practical experience, wide range of facilities and equipment's, experienced lecturers, availability of assessment feedback, well-arranged and managed online portals for resources and assignment submission, nice architecture of the Essex Business School. Worst: unpleasant learning experience from one of the lecturers who taught statistics where the contents were not well taught and explained, campus is located far away from the town centre, not many food available around the campus, map navigation is confusing and not well-developed, buses are not completely reliable as some buses may terminate services while still showing status in the bus app (show only operating buses to avoid confusions and delays in travelling for people to plan their time accordingly rather than waiting for the bus at a much earlier time), maze-like building with multiple levels (perhaps should develop an app showing 3D map and navigating people through the building floor by floor), stairways and entrances are covered with spider webs making the campus looks shabby (clean them occasionally), many uphill's towards the campus, little covered walkways for people to walk around the squares to squares (building more sheds for people walking around the campus so they don't have to be wet when it's raining).

Best: All modules of my course are taught in-class in a small class size (around 30+), averagely 1 class per day every week allowing for more time to have own time to study or work, easy to contact lecturers and receive fast responses from lecturers, have allocated timeslots for meetups and meetings. Worst: no group assignment thus having no opportunities to work with course mates, exams before and after break, short preparation for assignments, feedback is vague and not constructive.

Really good department - many of the lecturers are helpful and supportive. Love the grounds.

Third year had less module options, but can choose the direction that you are interested in.
