As a PGCE student who doesn't live on campus or near campus (I'm a 30 minute drive away) I think some of the facilities could be improved. We often sit in the main hub during breaktimes as it is an area where we can all sit together, however there arent a lot of facilities here for students who bring their own lunch. There are kettles and mocrowaves on site, but not in logical areas where students actually want them. There should be a mini kitchen area in the canteen for us to use, as I can't afford cooked food on campus everyday. There are also issues with cleanliness a lot of the time in the bathrooms and common areas.
I also find the library commonly lacks the books and resources that we need for assignments etc. The library's access to journals is heavily lacking compared to other universities I have attended.

A lot of the lectures are slow-paced and not very challenging. I personally come from a university course that is very fast-paced and content heavy and this course is the total opposite. I also feel the lectures could be compressed easily to fit into a smaller time frame. For example, on one day we only have 4 hours of lectures, but they're spread out throughout the day to take up the whole day which is unnecessary. We often have unnecessary breaks throughout the day when I think it would be best to compress the day more. The course is heavily discussion-based and is based on a lot of opinions, I preferred being in schools where I was getting to practice my skills and learn on the job.
