Having an accredited degree makes it a fantastic choice for biomedical science if you want to progress to becoming a HCPC registered biomedical scientist. However, sandwich placement opportunities are very difficult to secure, but 100% worthwhile doing to complete your IBMS portfolio.

My sandwich placement was a fantastic opportunity to complete my ibms portfolio and gain a working knowledge of the theory I learned in 1st and 2nd years. Without doing a placement career aspects as a biomedical scientist are severely limited due to needing to complete portfolio before being eligible to become HCPC registered. Trainee positions post degree are very competitive and limited in number.

Very diverse area, but Bristol is a very expensive place to live. Great bus links to and from frenchay campus,as well as being a megabus stop.

The campus is so captivating; there is always a new place to explore – a new corner to study at. You just can't get tired of it.

The modules are interesting.

I like the size of my room and the amenities.
