Bangor University provides so many benefits and opportunities that i would recommend to any prospect students. Starting with the location, not so good for that big city lifestyle, but amazing if you love the natural beauty of the Welsh countryside and Snowdon mountain range. I myself love to walk by the menai strait, and i know lots of people that enjoy hiking Snowdon national park. Facilities - these are fantastic, the labs, lecture theatres, revision spaces and student halls are quite lovely. Of course the unmistakeable Pontio cinema, lecture theatre and workspace is handy and aesthetically appealing. The lift also makes the steep hills much more climbable. The main university building is a beautiful historic element of the university, with PJ hall, and the library which is lovely to sit for a quiet study. Student life isn't great in terms of night life, but for a small city I've had some fantastic nights out in the university club on a Wednesday and trilogy on the other nights. There are so many clubs and societies that provide a great sense of community and engagement - I would recommend joining! There is also lots of sports teams if you have a passion for that. I'm not sure i would really suggest any improvements other than some course specific criticisms, but even then there are few. The lecturers are clearly well qualified and easy to get in touch with if you have any queries. One improvement could be navigating the myBangor website, as it is endless. Maybe a better search function so you can find exactly what you are looking for with less difficulty? despite this, i manage just by emailing my tutor if I am experiencing difficulty finding a resource. Overall, I love life at Bangor and would recommend!

Content is very interesting and there are a range of year 2 modules to choose from depending on your own personal interests, which makes learning easier. The lecturers are very easy to contact and support is readily available on the blackboard site. I personally enjoy that nearly all my lectures are located in the large lecture theatre, PL5, in pontio. The time spent in lectures is definitely doable, but perhaps i would prefer a more regular/constant timetable, rather than the sporadic booking of lectures currently. essentially timing lectures in a way where i have more regular hours would be better. rather than one lecture at 11 and another at 5, perhaps put them all into 3/4 days of the week for the whole day etc. I do however understand that this may be difficult to timetable/ book into lecturer schedules.

I paid something along the lines of 144 a week for the newer halls. i think for 40 odd more pounds than the cheaper/older halls, the extra money was not worth it at all and could be cheaper. However, this isn't to say I did not enjoy my stay at fridd. the rooms had plenty of storage, as did the kitchen, and I enjoyed my room very much. Friddoed hill was absolutely horrible to walk up everyday and I would recommend you contemplate living in fridd whilst bearing this in mind if you have mobility issues. But in the end of the day the exercise was probably good for me and still very much in walk able distance from the university main site. The shop on campus was quite handy as well, supplying the everyday basics when you need them. bear in mind it is only open 10-10. The laundry facilities were quite convenient, if a little expensive and occasionally dysfunctional, but saying that I am currently paying more in my private accommodation this year.

Great uni supportive staff, facility's are spot on, Grear range of courses and subjects :) all contained within one small city so everything is walkable to whic saves money, nice halls and common rooms
