I have loved UoL since I first came here. While I'm studying for my PhD now, I also did my BSc and MSc here. I love it so much, I've never quite been able to leave!

The academic staff I've worked with have all been fantastic. They all put 100% into their roles and it shows. They go above and beyond for their students.

I love UoL's location, the only trouble comes if you happen to need to go to Riseholme Campus which is 15 mins away by car. Not a problem if you drive, but the campus busses aren't too frequent and it would be costly to keep getting a taxi. I've always felt safe here, never had a single problem, and you always see security staff patrolling.

Lincoln is a fantastic place to study, and a fantastic place to live. I always loved it because it's not too big and not too small. The lecturing staff I've met always go above and beyond for their students, and the student support is there for you if you need them. There are plenty of places on-campus to study whether you prefer quiet or some background noise.

For my area, life science, there are so many things which make Lincoln unique - Minster House being a big one, with access to a large database of pets and their owners willing to get involved with research, the reptiles and the insects. The lecturing staff are fantastic. Always there if you have a problem or question.

Lincoln is good for the cost of living - things are affordable in my experience, as long as you are sensible with money. I never felt unsafe in Lincoln; though there is a fairly large homeless population, they never seem to bother anyone in my experience. The city is walkable, so not much need for transport, but there are good bus and rail links. I didn't take on part time work, but the friends of mine who did, didn't struggle to get jobs. I'd say graduate employment seems challenging, as Lincoln isn't a city with a lot of different industries.

I'll have to admit it's been a few years since I used the uni accommodation. But when I was there, it was great in terms of security, location, and the student services' attempts to allocate you a space where you want. I didn't feel that issues were always taken care of very well, for example blocked shower drains! And I didn't feel that the cost of the accommodation I stayed in was massively worth it.
