Has a great student atmosphere with a really good Students Union. There are many sorts of societies for any interest. Peak district is just a bus ride away, good for nature and hiking lovers. Cheap. Very green city. No big city feel can be a pro or con. Large international student population. Good study spaces, but definitely need more in exam seasons. Support depends on each department, some departments worse than others. Facilities could be modernised. Recent controversial decisions such as the closing of the archaeology department can be a con as it shows uni leadership prioritises money.

A lot of contact hours, might be too much. Facilities are okay. Has two telescopes which are great for Astrophysics. Good employer ties. Teaching quality can be improved. Need more communication between lecturers.

Old fashioned. Great location, 3 minutes from The Diamond. No common room.
