I think Goldsmiths is an ideal environment to grow both personally and achademically. The university offers a space full of resources to develop your creative interests and the students are always heard. The things that could improve are the short term contracts for a lot of the lecurers that dirupt the acahdemical development of all courses due to the strikes.

It's a versatile course that has a lot of freedom in relation to your chosen career path and backgorund. I think the things that could improve are updating some modules that look a bit archaic for today.

The friendly and always accountable staff is the best I've ever seen in any place in Londo. However, the value for money in the Annexe is just not worth it. The rooms are small and we have wet bathrooms. In addition, the WiFi must be from the early 2000's or something tlike that.

Although the student union is small (as is the uni) there are events held regularly, but I would argue are not inclusive enough to all interests. Also, toilet facilities need improving and regular cleaning. In terms of drama, theatre, art and music facilities, Goldsmiths is great, but access to these if you are not a student in those subjects is difficult. Lastly, management at Goldsmiths is lacking, this is an issue Goldsmiths is ignoring to change.

I was informed this course would help you get internships, placements, jobs etc. However you have the option of organising a placement yourself in third year. This does not seem outstanding to me.

London is a great city to live in as a student, especially in the arts but also across many sectors. As an arts student, opportunities are endless, but I know fine arts students struggle finding employment straight out of university.

The prices for halls have increased since I went in first year. It is more affordable to rent a shared house in London than halls of residence, but I would say it's worth it in first year to create your friendship groups outside of your course. I was lucky in Surrey Old house to not have rats. I know other houses in surrey house did have a rat problem. This seems to be a reaccuring London halls issue that needs to be attended to.
