This campus has all the facilities that I could ask for, and the supervisors are always there to help

mainly class lessons, with dedicated smaller focus groups where any questions get resolved

Although I’m in my 3rd year, it’s actually my first year studying at the USW Cardiff campus. I have found my way around easily and the facilities I have been provided are just what I need, in terms of high end computers, computer software, and tutor support. The campus has a large library with lots to offer and has a system in place that makes it easy to navigate and find whatever you’re looking for. The location is on the far side of the city. It’s not far from the city centre but for students in housing in Cathays for example, it’s quite far to walk. Especially compared to Cardiff university students who live in Cathays - their campus buildings aren’t very far. I also see a lot more student events being organised at Cardiff University, such as parties and sale events. That is something I’m quite jealous of because I haven’t experienced anything like that before and assumed every university did things like that. Overall, I would recommend this university to others. Mainly because of the great teaching facilities but in terms of social uni life, it does not live up to other university standards.

I think my course is well balanced in terms of self study and in-class learning. For the people that show up, they are offered extra support during their assignments, which definitely makes sense to me. The tutors are happy to respond to any emails or concerns out of their contracted work hours which is always appreciated. They always provide valuable feedback on any work we do way before deadlines so we have time to improve and make the work our best.
