I loved my undergraduate degree at UoB so much that I have returned after many years to do my Masters. The campus is unbeatable, beautiful and peaceful. The facilities are unbelievable, Sport & Fitness, Library the green campus, make you proud to study and learn there. The support for students is also brilliant!

The masters content is great but the workload is too much to fit in a year. The welfare teams are great if you have issues and the academic supports fantastic, generally speaking academics are very helpful during their office hours, and the university wants you to do well overall. The Barber Institute is shut for renovations, so there aren't really any subject specific facilities this year but they have done their best to work around it.

I stayed there in my undergraduate and loved it. It was very social, safe and the Vale was beautiful. The meal plan was really great, I missed it when I moved out of halls.

The University of Birmingham is an amazing university for many reasons. One of the main ones being the campus. It is a highlight of the university for sure. It is extremely green and there are always events happening around campus. The guild (student union) has a huge range of societies which can accomodate everyone. To improve, I think that UOB should be more transparent about things like accomodation costs (e.g. student living - catered meals was not explained that well to me). Also, within departments I think more awareness about contact hours and office hours would be useful.

Because I do a course that is not very common, there is still a lot of work to be done. Sometimes the course seems unorganised and it is hard to get in touch with admin as they take long to reply. Also with changing modules it is a very hard process and extremely stressful when you are trying to handle clashes or full modules.

From the beginning when I was trying to choose my accom, I felt there was not enough information about it. The catered meal plan was not explained as best as it should be. Also the accom is extremely far from campus, and i wish there was a train station nearby!
