Students benefit hugely from the great wealth of knowledge, experience, insight and practical support offered by committed and highly professional teaching, technical and support staff, all dedicated to the shaping and forming of "New Creatives". I personally benefit enormously from unrestricted access to the wide and varied range of ably supported facilities offered at the University. Every moment spent on campus reiterates "there is no impossible, only I'm Possible". Having taken several degrees in the past, I can honestly say that the educational and support model in play at the AUP is unmatched by anything I have hitherto experienced. If there is any improvement to be made, it would be in local and national networking to secure wider exhibition opportunities to display and promote the high standard of work produced by the talented students whose creativity has been shaped and formed by the AUP team.

The course is comprised of a well blended mix of on-campus lectures & seminar hours, supported on-campus creative workshop hours and objective oriented, self-directed academic research and practical work hours. Face to face contact with lecturers is largely easily accessible; alternatively on-line and email access is efficiently served and responded to. The practical workshops are wide ranging extremely well supported by experienced technicians who are successful artists in their own right. Support staff are a particularly valuable asset at AUP, ensuring that the education experience is effectively supported '360 degrees in the round'. Overall, I find that the students and staff at AUP are like a big, friendly and caring family, where the learning experience is safe and allows for mistakes to be made and learned from in the most positive and efficacious manner.

Speaking as a mature student, easy access to Dartmoor and to beaches is a huge bonus for me.
