Academically, I have felt as though the dominant online learning has prevented me from meeting people on my courses and has thus made me feel partly disconnected from the learning environment. However, I have had a great overall experience. I have made the best of the social experience we could have experienced in this year and made amazing friends.

The university’s facilities are of great quality and accessibility. Whilst I haven’t been able to explore these throughly due to the pandemic, the university has made them well known to us.

There are a lot of resources, people and places to go to. I haven’t personally used these services but I am aware of them and they are easy to find.

As a first year I entered university during a pandemic. Whilst the first three months of my course was taught via blended learning (online and in-class) the rest of the year was spent learning online.

There is easy access to the career service activities, internships, job opportunities etc. A lot of opportunities are sent to students via email which is very useful.

The uni facilities and campus is a great place to study - the library is very useful, the barber art gallery is great for a hugely of art student and there’s lots of study spaces. The teaching is very good and the lecturers are clearly invested in their research making it more engaging. The support from tutors and well being services is also very good but I would suggest they make students more aware of the help they can get. The location is good as it’s easy to get to the city but the area for student living in second year is less nice - it is also expensive to buy any food or drinks on campus.

The teaching is very interesting and engaging and there’s a wide range of subjects. The facilities are great as we learn in the barber art gallery. I would like a few more contact hours with tutors as this semester I only have about 6 hours a week.

The location on the vale was great as it was with most of the other halls. The value for money was very good compared to other halls but the facilities often needed fixing.
