Both campuses are very nice, within them I have always felt safe. Accomodation in both campuses are nice, shared living facilities are dependent on the people you share with so it’s a hit and miss but if you chose who are living with then that minismes the chances of a bad experience. Teaching and learning quality is dependent per course, I’m studying architecture and I have always felt that the way my course is taught and the learning experience could be improved but I know people in other course have much better experiences. The ne of my favourite things about the student life are the free sports classes and activities. They’re so good and they’re all free which meant I didn’t even need a gym membership my whole time but I have stayed active at least once a week at no cost! One of the biggest downsides of the university is the location. Getting from A to B will mean you are crossing at least 3 main roads or going through underpasses and the shuttle bus is sometimes unreliable. The town is not the most walkable and all relevant places are the on average 15 mins away. There are small convenience shops on campus which’s re slightly more expensive. Both college lane and dehav libraries being 24h is pretty much the best things ever. The university tries their best to provide activities and events for student which are always appreciated!

Staring during covid so realistic contact time was little to none, engagement and enthusiasm amongst my cohort is low and it reflects on the teaching.

It is on the expensive side and cheaper options are left for only twin rooms. Like I said previously the quality of your experience in very dependable on the people you are sharing the accomodation with. If they are clean, tidy, loud, considerate, respectful. But the facility provided by the university itself is adequate and well served
