I like being able to access professional equipment and taking with people with similar goals whilst working and that has made my second year really enjoyable. But last year covid prevented us from doing a lot of the normal first year experiences which sucked

We dont really get taught much animating more so get critique on making animations and the teachers don't always respond back. But I do love the facilities a lot. So far the general opportunities we get have been really fun though nothing of the career sort yet

The place is really nice albeit with a very small bathroom and there aren't too many problems. The power and water did go out a few times this year and I keep getting sorted in flats with Asians that I can't talk to because I was largely brought up western

Leeds Arts is such a welcoming place to study. I feel surrounded by so many creatives and feel genuinely motivated to improve myself as an artist. I’m taught by genuine talent and I know my peers feel the same. For someone who initially felt intimidated by my course, I’ve now fallen deeper in love with animation. The University its self displays its creativity throughout, whether you’re upstairs with the animation and concept art, or downstairs with ceramics and wood work- you’re not restricted to one place. I’m able to experiment with whatever medium I desire, even if it isn’t for my coursework. I know the support is there if I need it and I can see the care put into student support and the union. I do wish there was more social spaces, but I know it’ll be soon to come once construction on the university is finished. Overall a fantastic place for those who want to be creative and rewarded for amazing work, no matter what medium.

Very interactive lectures, were you’re allowed to laugh and learn at the same time. I can appreciate the module because it doesn’t feel like I’m just being talked to, you’re allowed to experiment and discover how you would take a task on.
