Hartpury is in a rural location which is great for student wellbeing as we don't have the stress of city life. It sits beautifully between Gloucester and Cheltenham for students who do want a student life with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and attractions. Hartpury is a unique university as the campus is huge but the students numbers are low so you get much more out of your learning. The staff encourage students to take part in their lectures and seminars so you're able to ask questions and get the help you need. The learning support is also fantastic and there are many workshops to sign up to which are great for students who struggle with essential skills for uni and after. The sports facilities are outstanding and there is a huge variety of sports to join in or watch. Staff try their hardest to deliver exciting and interesting topics within the scope of the curriculum. The niche degree programmes mean that most students have similar interests and provide a community feel within the campus. Hartpury truly is a great place to be!

Covid has impacted every educational setting for the past two years but Hartpury have managed to cope reasonably well with continuing to deliver lectures and support students any way they can. Going online helped us to stay on track with our learning but we have now moved to blended learning, with the majority of our time learning in person. The campus is huge so we are able to spread out and reduce student numbers by splitting into smaller groups. Everything is now recorded so we are able to go back and watch a lecture if we feel we missed something. I would say the only thing that let's Hartpury down are the lack of student union involvement and catering. The student union was brilliant in my first year but is lacking a lot in my second year here. The catering facilities are poor, lack in choice and variety and the staff have been rude and unhelpful in the past. The course however is running smoothly regardless of covid restrictions and staff continue to look for innovative ways to teach.

Beautiful campus and amazing choice of courses. Without a car you are a little stuck when living on campus, but you are able to get the bus into Gloucester where there is lots to do!

Some lecturers are not the most experienced which can be annoying, but course content is second to none! No other course like it in the country.

Rooms are not the most luxurious but have everything you need. Flatmates make it a great experience!
