Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

So far I have been enjoying life as a new student. The course is very interesting and something perfect for me. The university is nice, people are helpfull. Always there to help with any kind of problem or confusion. I haven’t really participated in a social life, haven’t seen that much open arms from my peers like I’ve been told it would be. But so far I’m really happy about my choice of uni.

Job Prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

On my course everyone needs to do a work placement. The remind you to reach for experience and to build up your cv. They give you proffesional advice.

Course and Lecturers

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

I like that there is a lot of practice involved, not just book learning. I don’t enjoy leaving students with a lot of reaserch and not explaining some of the topics to the fullest.

How many contact hours per week do you have?

Students' Union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

The students union has organised a lot of freshers events. Some of them were really interesting and nice premis. I don’t get involved because I don’t have much time.

Accommodation

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?

It’s a little bit pricey but It has everything you need. It’s comfortable and provides a lot of the essentials. The buildngs aren’t old. There’s security all around. Overall nice to live in.

Uni Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

There’s a lot of new equipment. For ny course we do have a variety of facilities useful and nicely equip. Everything is in a great shape and avaible to all students.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

London is very big and noisey. So It does get time to grt used to it. But it also full of entertaiment and things to do. It’s a great city, very beautiful and nice to live in. The only downfall is the big distance between everything. And it does take a lot of time to get around. London public transport is also pricey.

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

They is a variety of societies in the university and they do organise a lot of events. Some of them are really interesting and eager for new people.

Student Support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

The tutors seem eager to help, always offering their help and advice. You can email them and they respond rather quickly. It’s especially important for someone from a didferent country or with a disabillity. They welcome you with open arms.
