There is a lot of support for students such as academic skills built into modules in the form of seminars. This is very helpful for all students, especially those who haven't been in education recently and who have had to start writing academically for assignments. Additionally, lecturers are very approachable and happy to help with any learning queries. The events put on by the students' union are very fun and inviting, such as a film night. The only thing that I would improve about my experience studying here is it would be nice if we could have some comfier lecture halls that have charging plugs located nearby. The current wooden chairs in my lecture halls make it difficult to want to sit through 2 hour lectures.

There is around 10 hours of contact time per week for my course which I enjoy because it gives me dedicated time for my study, but also time to complete other things like work. The facilities for our labs are all very well kept. However, some of the lecturers fail to keep my attention during the lectures.

Sumner house is located a 10 minute walk to Exton park campus but is also only a stones throw away to the city centre. We have 24 hour security and key cards which makes the building a very safe place to live in. You get an en-suite room with a small double bed for such a good price! The rooms are also very spacious. The wifi is unfortunately the same as the on-campus wifi so it is quite slow and often drops off whilst in my room which is not ideal. There is a property management system where you can report any maintenance issues but these do take some time to be sorted out.

The lectures as informative and interesting especially now I am in second year, the library is a cozy and comfy place to study and feels very welcoming wether you’re there by yourself or with friends

I like the fact that we have barely any online lessons and most of our sessions are in person and that there are a range of labs for each module which helps with skill development, however having very little time off makes it difficult to keep up with everything especially when the rest of the uni is on a reading week and we don’t get the privilege

I love the location being so close to the uni although off campus, the rooms are a good quality and well cared for however some people neglect the social spaces and this isn’t always properly policed as it is up to students to report and one student can out rule another as a residential advisor however my RA was very responsible
