Plenty of study spaces on campus, with a wonderful selection of places to eat by the road just south of uni. The city centre is a 7-minute train ride away (yes, the university has its own train station) or a 20-minute bus ride. The campus is big enough to get your steps in, with an open-plan feel and plenty of greenery. Staff are quite helpful, and the people aspect of the place really makes you feel at home. Seriously, everyone is so smiley here!! Plenty of student societies to get into, and sports teams to join. For improvements, maybe renovating some of the older buildings

The aerospace side of the course? Chef's kiss. Having the materials and space side integrated in the course gives a much more in-depth perspective into aerospace and generally makes everything "click" once you understand how all the concepts are woven together. Genuinely cannot stress how important materials are for aerospace, and this course cracks into it fantastically (pun fully intended). I'm only giving a poor rating on the subject facilities because everyone is either falling asleep in the lecture room, ruining their back posture trying to strain their neck forward to reach the bench (the bench doesn't even have enough space to lay your A4 notebook flat, btw), or zoning out for the hour. Maybe that's a me problem, but the learning environment plays a big role in how I absorb content.
